How often does wheel balancing needs to be done?

Image
First of all, you need to understand that wheel balancing is a prolonging/preventative regular maintenance service and not a correctional lifelong guaranteed service. In fact, wheels and tyres are never exactly the same weight all around. The wheel's valve stem hole will usually subtract a small amount of weight from that side of the wheel. Tyres will also have slight weight imbalances, whether from a joining point of the cap plies or a slight deviation from perfectly round. At high speeds , even a tiny imbalance in weight can become a large imbalance in outward force, which could cause the wheel and tyre assembly to spin in a heavy and uneven motion. This usually turns into a vibration that could cause uneven and damaging wear on the tyres. Maintaining proper wheel balance is a critical part of maintaining the life of the tyre. Balance Changes Over Time:  As the tyre wears, the balance will slowly and dynamically change over time. Most good tyre  places will w...

Why you need Wheel Balancing?

Image
When in motion, an unbalanced wheel can generate huge forces. These forces aren’t even and lead to vibrations. This causes premature wear to the suspension system, it also reduces tyre life and causes enough drag to adversely affect fuel consumption. Due to bad road surfaces, the grip is less secure and your braking distance may be increased. More attention should be given to wheels and tyres as requirements for safe driving. Tyres are the only components which keeps your vehicle in contact, physically, with the road surface. They allow you to start, stop and change direction. If we compromise their ability to do these basic functions we are putting ourselves and all road users at risk. Neglecting wheel balancing on our terrible roads is a definite road safety concern. It might sound futile but there are dangerous around unbalanced wheels. First of all ignoring the signs might be dangerous and expensive. Steering components can be damaged and all the parts may fail prematu...

With the normal day to day road usage it is already a stressful environment to be in and to put it in plain text, your tyres are the only component that connects you to the road when you drive. If your tyres are not balanced, you might end up with a more serious issues to attend to and you will have to-not only replace your tyres but whatever other affected components as well. This will be a very costly experience for you, unfortunately  you have to pay the price to be made aware that by keeping all you component in optimal running conditions will save you on u...

What is Wheel balancing otherly known as tyre balancing?

Image
As you know a vehicle can be compared to a human body, if you take good care of all the connecting components and stuff you put onto/into your body it will help you- life a long hassle free life. The same with purchasing a quality set of tyres for your vehicle (cheap does not always stay cheap). A new set of tyres can relatively come at high costs so it is extremely beneficial to you to take care of them. If you have a vehicle, you have a responsibility to look after it for as long as possible. Some motorists do not understand the importance of Wheel alignment and wheel balancing, on how this can affect tyre life, as well as possibly having an effect on other mechanical factors. This means it is important that when you purchase a new set of tyres and fit them to your vehicle, you ask a mechanic to perform wheel alignment and wheel balancing to ensure that excessive tyre wear does not occur. Correct wheel balancing is vitally important to performance, safety and prolongin...
